Fighting Back

On the day that Trump is criminalising homelessness, I have signed up to join a new party in the UK led by someone who is the polar opposite of that pitiful excuse for a human being.

I joined the Labour Party when Jeremy Corbyn was leader because his values resonated with me. He was utterly let down by the Labour friends of Israel (the likes of Tom Watson, Margaret Hodge etc.) who undermined everything he tried to do and fanned the flames of an accusation of anti-semitism that was bizarre but gained credence thanks to a hostile media including a BBC that has lost all credibility.

The crucial distinction is that anti-semitism has been weaponised and conflated with anti-Zionism. The two are not the same despite what is being pushed down people’s throats.

Jeremy Corbyn has started a new party with Zarah Sultana MP called Your Party. As happened when he led Labour, memberships are rocketing. You can be part of the start by signing up at your party.uk

With Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in the US connecting with people of all political stripes I hope the same happens here. Without being hamstrung by venality and not in anyone’s pocket, the left can finally have a real voice.

The media and the right will be all out to attack so it’ll be a bumpy ride.
